"This is all the places I remember,” Powell said, pointing out the chrome chairs with the sparkling ruby-red cushions that he had custom-made to look just like the ones at Pinky’s, an ice cream shop from his youth.

“Our fries taste like you remember. Everything is the way it was,” Powell said, pointing to a basket of fries.

All meals are served with fries or a salad, and a drink. The menu includes a 1/4-pound Hamburger, made with meat that is hand-cut fresh every day; a Classic Hot Dog ($4.65), served split in half on a hamburger bun and deep-fried; and thick beer-battered onion rings.
